Carlson, Rapp and Mikeska to Present at 2012 Marketing and Public Policy Conference

Dr. Les Carlson, Nathan J. Gold distinguished professor of marketing at the UNL College of Business Administration, and Ph.D. students Justine Rapp and Jessica Mikeska, will be attending the 2012 Marketing and Public Policy Conference, June 7-9 in Atlanta, Ga.
 
The 2012 Marketing and Public Policy Conference (MPPC) is the premier national and international event for marketing academics, public policy makers, and marketing practitioners interested in social and public policy.
 
This year's theme is "Confluence of Marketing, Public Policy, and Social Justice: Changes, Challenges and Charges". The conference forum is noted for individuals with a variety of backgrounds to discuss important public policy issues facing consumers throughout the world.
 
Rapp and Carlson will be presenting the paper, “Dying to be Tan: Public Policy Directives for the Indoor Tanning Industry.”
 
Mikeska and Carlson will be presenting, “Understanding Antecedents to overweight and obesity among children.”  This paper is also co-authored with Dr. Patricia Kennedy, associate professor of marketing at UNL.
