“This scholarship will allow me to focus on my education and will help me build my résumé,” Areman said. “NRC has many opportunities for UNL students through internships and attending classes where they present case studies, assist students in real world learning and give feedback on our projects.”

Henning is a junior marketing major from Lincoln, Nebraska. He co-founded Red Thread, a marketing and advertising firm, and started Students Together Against Cancer, a non-profit student organization. He is also a copywriter on the UNL National Student Advertising Competition team.

“It’s an honor to be a recipient of the NRC Rising Stars Scholarship,” Henning said. “This scholarship will help me cover extra classes that I will take to help me with my entrepreneurial business goals and will supplement my education.”

A celebration dinner was held on December 10 and attended by the recipients, their families, NRC leadership and UNL faculty and staff. Their names will be displayed on the Rising Stars Scholarship plaque located outside of the Department of Marketing at CBA.

National Research Corporation has been at the forefront in patient-centered care for over 30 years and is recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the largest patient satisfaction firms in the U.S. This is the third year they have presented the Rising Stars Scholarship to CBA students.
