Achievements for September 21, 2018
College of Business staff and students recognized for recent achievements include Alicia Steggs Buchanan, Chase Caverzagie, Jackson Grasz, Anne Greff, Dr. Rachel Larson, Lauren Maciejewski, Connor McManigal, Phat Nguyen and Tyrell Ross.
  • Six business seniors were named as Homecoming Royalty, including: Chase Caverzagie, actuarial science major from Papillion, Nebraska; Jackson Grasz, management major from Elkhorn, Nebraska; Anne Greff, economics major from Lincoln, Nebraska; Lauren Maciejewski, finance major from Elkhorn; Connor McManigal, management major from Fremont, Nebraska; and Phat Nguyen, management major from Lincoln.
  • Alicia Steggs Buchanan, executive support associate in the Office of the Dean, was selected in the 2018-19 class of Leadership Lincoln’s Academy for Local Leadership. Participants in the academy take part in day-long seminars preparing them for service on a nonprofit board or public commission.
  • Dr. Rachel Larson, director of the Business Career Center, and Tyrell Ross, assistant financial manager, were selected for the inaugural class of the university’s Staff Leadership Academy, a new six-month professional development program which seeks to provide career training and resources to staff. As part of the 31 participants chosen, Larson and Ross will receive guidance on topics including leadership, conflict resolution and creating inclusive workplaces.
