• Jennifer Davidson, assistant professor of practice in economics and president of the Nebraska Council on Economic Education, was interviewed for an Associated Press article on a bill to establish standards for teaching financial literacy in Nebraska schools. • A study by economists Dr. Ann Mari May and Dr. Mary McGarvey and International Labour Organization economist David Kucera found female economists are more likely to support environmental policies than their male counterparts. The study was featured in an August 2 Truthout.org piece on why more women should be involved in creating environmental policy. • Dr. Julie Wu, assistant professor of finance, co-authored a study that examines the importance of shareholder approval in mergers and acquisitions. The study, recently published in Review of Financial Studies (Vol. 31, Issue 8), was also featured in Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation.
