[00:00:09.380]As students and faculty prepared for class projects,
[00:00:12.720]finals and the end of spring semester,
[00:00:15.450]Howard L. Hawks Hall was bustling with activity.

[00:00:20.260]More than 226 business partners
[00:00:23.080]serve on our 16 advisory boards,
[00:00:25.660]and many came for our annual spring meetings in April.
[00:00:29.200]Together we also recognize those
[00:00:31.740]who set high standards of achievement
[00:00:33.880]for our Nebraska Business community
[00:00:36.060]at the 35th Annual Advisory Board Awards Luncheon.
[00:00:40.710]Ben Aken received the Young Alumni Award.
[00:00:44.350]And I not only learned the business knowledge
[00:00:47.033]and critical thinking skills for my career,
[00:00:49.500]but it really was the people and the experiences here
[00:00:51.750]in Lincoln that taught me the compassion
[00:00:54.250]and human relation skills to impact my work daily.

[00:00:58.110]Julie Gebauer received the
[00:01:00.030]Business Leadership Award.
[00:01:01.940]And as a leader I must demonstrate
[00:01:04.360]what I learned here in Nebraska,
[00:01:06.700]that success requires integrity, respect, collaboration.

[00:01:15.100]so people of all backgrounds can reach their potential.

[00:01:19.719]The Corporate Leadership Award went to Lutz.
[00:01:22.730]The College of Business in Lincoln has been
[00:01:26.320]the absolute cornerstone of the growth
[00:01:29.690]that Lutz has enjoyed.
[00:01:30.920]We like to say we are helping our clients mind what matters,
[00:01:35.140]we cannot do that without the UNL College of Business,
[00:01:39.550]and we just are very grateful today
[00:01:41.380]to be receiving your accolades, thank you.

[00:01:48.030]Bruce Lauritzen with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
[00:01:51.781]Our business began,
[00:01:56.710]in a small wooden shack in a village called Omaha in 1857.
[00:02:02.150]Since that time we have seen dozens and dozens
[00:02:07.750]of very qualified individuals
[00:02:10.560]with lots of innovative ideas, and lots of hard work,
[00:02:15.150]who are just as deserving of this recognition as I am,
[00:02:19.690]and thank you, I appreciate so much the honor.
