Event Description

Strive to Thrive Lincoln provides Nebraska Business students in the Management 411 class with the opportunity to grant funds to sustainable nonprofit organizations that are committed to serving youth in need within Lincoln and Lancaster CountyThis hands-on opportunity allows students to be philanthropic and work with nonprofits in Lincoln and Lancaster County.

Strive to Thrive Lincoln has been entrusted with $10,000 to allocate two grants of $5,000 each to nonprofits in Lincoln and/or Lancaster County. 

  • Application Due Date: Friday, February 28, 2020, 5 p.m. CDT
  • Notification of Site Visit Request: March 11, 2020, 5 p.m.
  • Site Visits: Monday, March 16, 2020, or Wednesday, March 18, 2020, between 3:30-4:45 p.m.
  • Awards Ceremony: Wednesday, April 22, 2020, 4-5 p.m. | Howard L. Hawks Hall, Henrickson Family Atrium, 730 N. 14th Street, Lincoln

All proposals must be uploaded by Friday, February 28, 2020, at 5 p.m. CDT, for consideration. Materials must be submitted on time, complete and professional (typed, grammatically correct, etc.) A site visit will be conducted if your organization is selected as a finalist.

Organizations selected to receive all or part of the grant will be required to provide a report that includes how the money was used, who was impacted and to what degree the community was impacted. This report will be requested by the Fall 2020 class during the Fall 2020 semester. Organizations selected will also be asked to visit the Fall 2020 class to share their Strive to Thrive Lincoln experience (date to be arranged).
