Phoenix Career Expedition

Visit Phoenix employers and learn about career opportunities, industries and workplace cultures. You'll also connect with alumni and meet with the Huskers N Arizona alumni chapter. All selected participants will attend all site visits, have their resume shared with the employers.

Networking Reception

Open to UNL students who are home for spring break in Phoenix, expedition participants, Phoenix area alumni and employers.

The Networking Reception will be on Monday, March 11 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Clancy’s Pub, 4432 N Miller Rd. Scottsdale AZ.

Employer Visits

Employer visits include Morgan Stanley, CCS Presentation Systems, Sprouts, Boys and Girls Club, Republic Services and the Republic Bank of Arizona. In addition, students will meet the HR team of the Arizona Cardinals and tour the stadium.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should apply? The career expedition is open to all undergraduate and graduate business students at UNL.
How much does it cost to go? For the full expedition, the Business Career Center will cover most costs, including in-city transportation, tours, hotel and welcome dinner. For the networking reception, the Business Career Center will pay for the venue, appetizers, and soft drinks. Participants will arrange and pay for their transportation to and from Phoenix, other meals and personal sightseeing expenses.
How many students go? Generally, 10-15 students go on each career expedition hosted each semester.
How do we prepare to get the most out of the experience? Those selected for the expedition will attend preparatory sessions.
What should our attire be? As you are representing the College of Business and connecting with prospective employers, we encourage you to wear business casual attire (such as a dress shirt, sweater, or polo shirt). Ties and suit jackets are not required.
What are some tips for interacting with employers during the trip? Use this time to get information about industries, career paths, and specific opportunities. Participate in discussions, ask questions, and follow-up afterwards to stay connected to the organization.
