Two UNL Marketing Majors to Compete in National Collegiate Sales Competition

Two marketing majors, Jamie Dick and Alex Earll will be competing in the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC). Faculty advisor is Dr. Scott Friend.

Inaugurated in 1999, the NCSC is the largest and oldest sales role-play competition in existence. Instituted for the purpose of enhancing the practice and professionalism of the sales profession, the NCSC’s mission remains the same.

The NCSC hosts the top collegiate sales talent and sales faculty from the most elite University Sales Programs in North America. Up-coming sales graduates are provided a venue for sharpening their sales skills in a highly competitive environment and networking with their peers and sales faculty from across the United States. NCSC Corporate Sponsors have the opportunity to network with and preview the elite talent and greatly contribute to their education and careers and in turn make a great investment in the future of the sales profession.

NCSC Sponsor resources provide funding that allows the NCSC to defray the expenses of competing students, faculty and programs that choose to participate in the competition. Many of the best and brightest sales students would be unable to attend without the help of their Corporate Sponsors.

Over the NCSC’s 12 year history, more than a thousand students and faculty have participated from across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. In March 2010, NCSC XII hosted more than 60 of the top graduate and undergraduate sales programs in the world and these same programs and others are expected to participate again in NCSC XIII in March 2011.
