Steve David ’70 Shares Innovation Insights during B-Week

Steve David ’70, former chief information officer of Proctor & Gamble, presented “Leadership in a Digital World” to more than 250 business students on January 27. The keynote presentation was a part of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration B-Week celebration, January 26-29.

“People who ask really good questions get to frame the work which stems out of the answers,” he said. “If you want to succeed, you need to be innovative and willing to change with the environment.”

David discussed how this generation is set to drive innovation with the array of skills they are sharpening now. He serves on the CBA Dean’s Advisory Board and is currently a senior advisor for the Boston Consulting Group. Following his talk he also spoke with the CBA Honors Academy and an MBA class.

“We were excited to welcome Steve David back to campus and to learn from his experience as a top executive in a global brand,” said Maddy Petersen, Student Advisory Board president and a junior international business major from Omaha, Nebraska. “This year’s B-Week featured several great opportunities for students to not only celebrate being a part of our college community, but also to take advantage of these career-oriented events.”

Other B-Week events included a B-Week Kickoff event celebrating the MBA program’s 50th anniversary, a LinkedIn workshop and the college’s annual reverse career fair where employer partners network with leaders of business student organizations. B-Week, which originated in 1921 as BizAd Day, is sponsored by the CBA Student Advisory Board.
