The Consortium for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA) kicks off the fall webcast series with the Larry James Memorial Lecture on Friday, September 22 at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business in CoB 010 at 11 a.m. central time.  Dr. Jeffrey R. Edwards presents Extending Methods for Integrating Moderation and Mediation. Edwards is the Belk Distinguished Professor of Organizational Behavior in the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

 

The presentation takes a back-to-basics approach for specifying and testing models that integrate moderation and mediation, explaining how the equations for any model can be written and combined to derive, estimate, and compare any effects of interest.  Viewers will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the bootstrap, showing how bootstrap coefficients generated by any statistical program can be used to construct confidence intervals of interest in Excel.

The webcast program is open to all from the Nebraska campus community to attend. It is recommended that audience members arrive at least ten minutes prior to the start of the program.
