Compete to Win Cash Prizes and Represent Nebraska at the Tenaska Business Challenge, a Multi-university Case Competition in February 2025.

Thank you for your interest in representing Nebraska at the 2025 Tenaska Business Challenge. The College of Business will hold a qualifying round exclusively for Nebraska's students on November 1st, 2024 to select two teams that will represent the university at the Tenaska Business Challenge against other universities.

Important Information

The Tenaska Business Challenge Qualifying Round kicks off on Monday, October 21, and submissions are due via Canvas Sunday, October 27. Judges will review all submissions and all teams will be invited to attend the in-person feedback sessions on Friday, November 1 in the College of Business. After the afternoon feedback sessions, the top 3 teams will be announced and will receive cash prizes.

3 additional awards, selection criteria to be determined by judges:

The two top-performing teams will represent the University of Nebraska–Lincoln at the 2025 Tenaska Business Challenge to compete against other universities, held February 26 - 28 in Lincoln, for opportunity to compete for additional cash prizes. The third-place team will serve as the alternate team.

Who Can Participate?

Teams of three to four UNL undergraduate students, across any major.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up? You can sign up as a team or an individual. Visit the registration link at the top of the page to get started. Participation is free and email Kasey Linde with any questions.
Do I have to find my own teammates? You can enter as a team or as an individual. If entering as an individual, you will be placed into a team prior to the start of competition, and we will notify/connect you all.
Can I compete if I'm not a College of Business student or in any business classes? You do not have to be a College of Business student to compete.
Will the competition be online or in-person? All teams will be invited to attend the in-person feedback sessions on Friday, November 1 in the College of Business. After the afternoon feedback sessions, the top 3 teams will be announced and will receive cash prizes.
If we win, how do we receive the prize money? Winners are paid via check to your student account. The prize money is split evenly among team members. Please let us know via email if you are a student-athlete prior to participation.
